    Education is derived from a Latin word that means to ‘bring out.’ Our philosophy on Education is very simple- ‘to draw out of the child the gift of intelligence’- by creating an atmosphere where inquiry and interest can be stimulated by instilling confidence in a child to believe in himself or herself. Developing intellectual curiosity, awareness and harmony, enhancing creative and critical intelligence and thinking and helping children to be valued citizens of tomorrow’s world - the motivation that guides The Lexicon Schools. The program shall make adequate provision for the general educational needs of its students.

    The school brings out the all round development of the student by promoting, personality development , academics uses Information Technology as one way of enhancing its mission to teach the skills, knowledge and behaviour students will need as responsible citizens in the global connected community. The school provides a good mix of IT infrastructure and instructional training and programs to enable the student with IT best practices and skills necessary to make a mark in the emerging IT knowledge economy.


    The program of instructional offerings of school will include

    Founders

    The Lexicon International School, Wagholi is run by Sukhdev and Kamal Sharma Educational Trust registered under the Bombay Public Trust Act,1950. The charitable trust was founded by  Mr S.D.Sharma, the chairman, Mr Pankaj Sharma, managing trustee and Mr Neeraj Sharma,vice-chairman, in the year 1999. The sole aim of the trust is to impart quality education to the citizens of tomorrow i.e. our children with sole motive of instilling confidence to believe themselves.
     
    We believe in education along with modern technology to keep pace with the fast changing face of our world. Learning, Growing, Excelling along with Innovation are the pillars of our strengths. The chairman, Mr S.D.Sharma, managing trustee, Mr Pankaj Sharma and vice-chairman, Mr Neeraj Sharma are dedicated to the cause of education. They believe in  imparting good quality academics along with values.



    Prof. Monisha Sharma

    Director,The Lexicon Schools, Pune

    The director, Prof. Monisha Sharma is the driving force behind the school and is always researching about the innovative teaching methods. She is a charming, unassuming, and soft spoke visionary.Her penchant to attain new milestones in education and her innate love and affection for the student community has made her push herself to explore new academic adventures within a short span of less than a decade.

    At the helm of three CBSE High schools, Prof. Monisha Sharma is a B.Tech and MBA and has a keen eye for the latest technological innovations and strives hard to get them functional in our educational set up. She is an approved Prof. from University of Pune.

    Her far sighted academic vision has helped The Lexicon Schools to come up with unique concepts such as Jolly Phonics in Pre-Primary and Class I. Caterpillar to Butterfly or C2Bs as they are popularly known is again the brainchild of our dear Director through which she has envisioned of providing every student the opportunity to hold a mike and display his/her innate talents. This activity from classes L.K.G. – V is hugely popular with our patrons too.Her desire to get the benefits of scientific innovations in education has helped us to come up with the innovative projects in secondary classes from VI – X wherein students work in groups on given topics and display path breaking ideas and inventions.

    Moving ahead with the times Prof. Monisha Sharma has also initiated a face book page of The Lexicon Schools named Eduvation which gives us an insight into the happenings at all 3 schools and inputs above child care and parent support.

    Mrs. Sunita Sharma

    Mrs. Sunita Sharma, MA,B.ED, DSM is a academician, who has been a brilliant teacher at Primary, secondary and senior secondary levels, in schools across India, with enviable 100% results year after year leading her students to outstanding success in scholastic and co scholastic fields at the highest levels.

    She had 14 years experience in teaching and 14 years as an administrator, having worked in various national and international schools across India, her last appointment was that of the Principal of a leading school in Pune for 10 years as the founder principal bringing the school up from a scratch to strength of 4000 students within 7 years. She is the recipient of the Best Teacher award 4 times as a teacher. “Ideal Principal” award and the school was awarded “Best School” in Maharashtra for NSS initiatives. An alumnus of Holy Cross Convent in school and later St. John’s College Agra, where she graduated from, she is MA in History and 2nd Rank holder in the university. She stood 1st in Maharashtra in DSM (Diploma in School Management) in 2009. She is currently pursuing PhD in social sciences. She is poetess and has a collection of 45 poems in English and Hindi. National Basket Ball player and an athlete in school, cross country cyclist, she also has Para gliding and Himalayan Trek to her credit.She has acted as a counsellor, Subject Expert, paper setter, Board paper evaluator and Guest Lecturer and lays emphasis on modern approached and innovative methodology of teaching learning and firmly believes that learning is not the product of teaching. Learning is the product of the activity of learners.

    A strict disciplinarian, who focuses on hard work, commitment, honesty, respect for culture and values and above all, qualitative approach in every effort. She believes that every day is a learning process and there is no end and no age for learning. Her hobbies include writing, cooking, gardening, interior decoration, and theatre.

    Born in Paris, she grew up amidst a very progressive environment. Grand child then, daughter of an army officer later an army officer’s wife and now mother of an army officer, she lays great emphasis on discipline. She has travelled far and wide, which has broadened her outlook and understanding of various communities. These varied experiences have helped her in interactions with parents and the students. It was one of her husband’s postings which brought her to Pune 14 years back.

    Her message to the students of today is that," nothing stands in front of a willing heart and strong determination. Have a goal in mind, for goals give direction, purpose and meaning to life. If it’s to be…..it’s up to YOU. The very act of believing creates a strength of its own. Everyone you meet knows something you don’t know. Be willing to learn.”



    Mrs. Amruta Prabhu

    Principal, The Lexicon International School, Wagholi

    The principal, Mrs Amruta Prabhu has 20 years of teaching and 5 years administrative experience. She believes in leading and motivating her team to perform to their fullest potential.  A curious learner herself she is eager to adapt new methodologies and technology  and use it skillfully to nurture and spread Indian values and ethics to young minds.
    Her message to everyone is that-
